This is a slog. Depressing and dark in a way that I’m not enjoying.

Hmm wasn’t expecting this to have so many horror/gore elements- that’s what happens when you go in blind!

The Lira POV is a waste of space. Clearly tying to set up another book where callum/lira are the focus couple which I HATE. This is not a romance series. If you’re going to call it a dystopian story and start focusing on rebellion/political issues, you can’t add other povs that are just a vehicle for an unnecessary romance subplot for non-main characters midway into the book.

We’ve reached a point where none of the actions are logical and the author is repeating the same phrase or rewording snappy one liners in a way that is making me irrationally angry. This book is too long for the level at which it was written.
