The problem is I don’t care about these side characters. It’s not a found family dynamic because all of that happened before we entered the story. That’s why none of the deaths have mattered.

She’s been here over a month and we have 0 character development and know little to nothing about her or the prince. This book has a sheer veneer of plot with no concern to the characters. It’s moving so quickly and we get no detail.
