Ch. 16–20 and the tension is rising fast. Mr. Garrick with another woman? Suspicious. Mrs. Garrick’s situation is clearly abuse, and it’s getting harder to ignore. Millie still hesitating with Brock adds to the unease, and Xavier getting arrested brings more chaos. Everything feels like it’s building toward something big.

Ch. 11–15 and the story keeps delivering. The tension around Mr. Garrick is really working, I’m suspicious and need to know what he’s hiding. His wife’s situation just adds more mystery. The incident with Xavier felt intense and honestly deserved, given everything going on. The suspense is building nicely and I’m fully locked in.

Ch. 6–10 and the tension is definitely picking up. The mystery around Mrs. Garrick has me on edge. something about her situation feels really unsettling. Mr. Garrick also gives off a very strange vibe that I don’t fully trust yet. I’m not too invested in the romance side of the story, but it was nice getting some kind of update on what happened to Enzo.

So far The Housemaid’s Secret feels quietly suspicious in the best way. Millie is still trying to balance unstable jobs while building a normal relationship with Brock, which I like seeing. Her new job seems good on the surface, but something about the way Douglas explains his wife’s illness feels… off. The setup already has that familiar “something is very wrong here” vibe.

Ch. 38–50 completely flipped the story on its head. Seeing Nina’s POV: how she met Andrew, how the charm slowly turned into control and abuse. This adds powerful context. The “crazy wife” narrative unravels, and suddenly Andrew looks like the true mastermind. The twist reframes everything I thought I knew. Dark, sharp, and brilliantly layered.

Ch. 29–37 and the tension just keeps climbing 😳 Nina’s passive-aggressive spiral turns strategic when we learn she’s been tracking Millie the whole time. The separation shocked me, but it also felt inevitable. Just when I thought Millie was stepping into a new life with Andrew… boom. Locked in the attic. Again. The psychological layers are getting sharper and I’m officially on edge.

So far, the thrill has been really good. I’m hooked on uncovering Nina’s past and feel like there’s so much more happening behind the scenes than we’re being shown. Every chapter adds another layer of suspicion and tension, and I can’t shake the feeling that a huge twist is coming. I’m enjoying every minute of the suspense and mystery so far!

What do I think so far? Honestly, I’m really enjoying The Housemaid! The mystery hooked me from the prologue, and Millie’s situation keeps getting more intriguing and creepy. The Winchester house already feels off, from the locked attic room to the strange dynamics between Nina and Andrew. Every chapter leaves me a little uneasy in the best way. I’m curious, suspicious, and very invested to see where this is going!

Ch. 19–39 Experiencing newborn vampire life alongside the rapid growth of a hybrid was fascinating and unsettling. The fear after Irina alerts the Volturi genuinely raised the stakes. The search for witnesses was decent worldbuilding, but the final Volturi confrontation felt underwhelming for all the buildup. I expected more tension and consequences, though the concepts

Ch. 8–18 This section was surprisingly enjoyable. Jacob’s perspective adds clarity to wolf imprinting, pack hierarchy, and the Alpha dynamic in a way Bella’s POV never could. Seeing Bella from the outside was refreshing, and Edward reading Jacob’s mind was wild. Leah is exhausting, but her frustration makes sense as the only female wolf. Overall, Jacob’s POV adds depth and understanding to the story.

Ch. 1–7: The wedding-heavy opening felt overly happy and honestly a bit boring for the start of the final book. The honeymoon was fine, thankfully not explicit, but the real shift happens with Bella’s pregnancy. Suddenly there are questions even the Cullens can’t answer, which finally adds tension and mystery. So far it’s just okay, but I’m hoping Jacob’s POV shakes things up and gives the story new energy.

Jasper's backstory is fascinating, his time in the southern wars and the chaos of newborn vampires finally add more depth. I like how his gift affects both others and himself. The Irina-Laurent revenge adds tension, and Bella's choice to have Edward change her feels deeply personal. Jacob's confession was bold but desperate, he knows time's running out.

Ch 11-12: The Quileute backstory is so intriguing! The spirit warriors, betrayals and the sacrificed of the third wife add rich layer to the story. I love learning about their history with the "Cold Ones" and the painful effect of vampire scent on wolves. Bella's fear of losing her humanity adds depght to her character, while Edward wants to keep her human until it's safe. Jasper scars reveal more of his tragic past.

Ch 9-10: These chapters bring suspense! A mysterious visitor in Bella's room sends chills, and the fact that Alice can't see them raises red flags. Victoria seems like the obvious suspect, but her scent is known, which complicate things. I love that Jacob and Edward are willing to work together for Bella's safety. The mention of Newborn vampires and Jasper's experience add some much needed depth to the lore.

Chapter 8 read! This chapter was a bit slower, but I appreciated the deeper dive into the imprinting and the tribe's surprise at how often it is happening. Jacob's frustration with Bella's "vampire in a few weeks" plan is relatable, he is clearly invested. Edward's trust in Bella is nice. but I am honestly a little over the Bella, Jacob, Edward love triangle. The focus on the lore was refreshing though.

Chapeter 5-7 read! These chapter were intense! The imprinting concept is wild! Romantic yet unsettling. Loved learning more about the wolves and Rosalie's tragic story. This gave her depth beyond the "ppretty vampire" label. Alice holding Bella hostage for a Porsche was hillarious yet toxic. The Edward-Jacob drama drags a bit. The tension is real, but it is starting to feel exhausting.

Chapter 3 and 4: Things are finally picking up! Edward's secret Florida trip motive comes out, Victoria is back in Forks hunting Bella. Emmet and Paul tension adds a bite to the story. Jacob's version of events gives fresh insight, and Bella is starting to questions Edward's honesty. Not bad, feels like the real plot is warming up.

Chapters 1 and 2 read! It starts slow with Bella grounded, but Alice's vision keeps things interesting, I need to know what she saw! Bella's still stubborn as ever, and Edward is hiding something. His random idea of a Florida trip seems suspicious. Why drag bella into the sunhine state when he literally sparkes in the sun? Something bigger is brewing here.

Chapter 23 tp Epilogue finished! The ending wasn't amazing. Bella really needs to let go of Jacob if she's set on eternity with Edward. What struck me, though, was Marcus seeing bonds. He was surprised by Bella and Edward's, so it makes me wonder what he'd think if he saw Bella and Jacob's. Maybe they share a strong bond too, just not the same kind of love.

Chapters 18-22 finished! The cliff jump confussion around Bella's "death" felt over the top, and Jacob pushing so hard for Bella's love is tiring, especially with Edward absent most of the book. The trip to Volterra dragged, though finally meeting the Volturi was exciting, even if less tense than I imagined. The flight home fell flat. Not feeling much hope for the ending.

Chapter 16 and 17 all finished. Still dragging a bit with this book, I am not fully hooked yet. Loved Alice's return and Bella finally more like herself. Sad seeing Charlie so down. Victoria's looming presence adds the tension I have been waiting for, can't wait to see her plans unfold.

Chapters 14 & 15 completed. Pretty interesting getting to know more about Jacob "phasing" and more about his family. More characters introductions and backstories are more interesting than Bella's love story and obsession of not forgetting Edward! Seeing Jacob and Paul figntning and then learningwhat triggers the transformation were the most important piece of information given to me.

Chapters 11-13 completed! Finaly I get more answers and more in depth into Jacob situation and what is really going on! Gets more interesting whenever I get to read on the character POV about their issues, secrets and see more development in their character. Its sad to se a character was taken out, had more hope for him but oh well.

Chapter 9 aqnd 10 completed! Getting better, not draggin as much as the previous chapter. I do understand that we needed to see how Edward's absence was affecting Bella and give some time to see Bella anda Jacob's friendship grow. Good to finally see the wolves and the appearence of an old character. I did enjoyed this two chapters a little better.

Coming back at it again! Took a little break from reading. Chapters 4-8 completed. I was really dragging through the whole depression part. Honestly, I was about to stop reading the book and start to read a new one, but here I am trying to get through it. Jacob and Bella relationship seems to be better and less toxic, I know it just a friendship. Hopefully I get to see more character development and less depression.

Chapter 2 and 3 done. So far, I like it more than the first book. I like more the conversations about the things the other vampires have experienced, the details about Carlisle life and such. Still finding it a little bit boring and finding Bella very annoying.

First chapter in! I just can't with Bella. She keeps being so boring and awkward. Like come on girl, you are with the love of your life next to you and can't enjoy the little moments just because you want to transform into a vampire. She needs to enjoy more about what she has left in her life or Victoria, then later worry about becominga vampire.
