THE BLACK DOG MENTIONED

i’m finding this confrontation a bit intense considering they went on one date a year ago? like why are they fighting like ex lovers

idk im not feeling it so far

"a good recipe is like a song. you can sing it a little out of tune and it's still good, maybe even better" IN WHAT WORLD

oooo she has ~purple eyes~ 🙄

I get where Maddie's coming from and it definitely seems like Campbell has been lobbing back the ire, but like... I can't imagine a world where a guy gets so hung up on a girl who treats him so badly? Who has such a bad attitude?

I wish they would delineate between the two POVs a bit more in the audiobook, I'm sure it's not as tricky to follow on paper

like she just said she caught whatever her siblings have but illness doesn’t work like that?? it takes at least a few days??

NO ACCIDENTAL PREGNANCY TROPE PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU

14% in and he's already telling his mom he's "smitten" with ella? fuck i hate insta-love

Jesus Christ girl who was your editor

The first chapter was unbearable - so much unnecessary fluff describing setting / character. Which is ironic given that the first scene with Jack and Bryony had his tell her to kill her darlings and cut her manuscript down

who doesn’t keep their phone on dnd overnight?

ew

wow! she's terrible!

wow! she has a lot of bad qualities!

she's kinda annoying

wait i cant believe they were actually going to kiss??? they haven’t even had a conversation yet

also this make narrator sounds like he’s sick

pretty expositional and cheesy so far

when <spoiler>he falls first AND harder</spoiler>

took off a half star for "Uptown Funk" not being on Piper's Do No Play list and that cheesy ass proposal

i’m deducting half a star for the fact that Uptown Funk wasn’t on Piper’s “Do Not Play” list
