Gale having such a naive view on killing people worries me. He had a very passionate attitude towards the cause and district 13, so I understand where he comes from.

However, Katniss showed us how killing someone essentially leaves their soul to hang around and haunt you.

Yet. We need to do some killing…. Let’s push away the fears and make a better world..!?

Hey Katniss, 13 is just another Capital.

Something about her makeup team being there as well, but completely disheveled and unlike themselves gives me the vibe that this isn’t right?

Bring Peeta back please! Even when his life is in the Capitals hands, he’s still on live TV defending his wife. He had a way with painting a picture but he can explain it just as well, loved this note from Katniss.

Wow, simply thrown into grief of lost land, friends and community. First chapter and I’m explained all I need to know. I appreciate the warm up.

Her cat also being well fed which implies it’s had its fair share of human bodies or mouse around. Yikes.

Started my regular reading for the night: “His ten-thousand dollar suit.” Okay yeah I’m in for some delicious garbage.

I think it’s the nostalgia that’s keeping me going. Running on radiation and my 14 year old fanfictions.

Sometimes, a book like this reminds you of your 13th year on this earth… and it’s a moment for sure.

Unfortunately, I will be speed reading this now. I can see the ending and want to reach it before Bane and Wren frick their way into my earths timeline.

The only realistic thing here is Wren having a fuckass, useless, disappointing brother.

Bane being called “thorough” was funny. All men need to be this way…

One of his “Dolls” goes crazy because she loves Bane and he obviously doesn’t so she stabs a guy… right.

Also, how can you make him some dark, brooding, sex lord who’s in the mafia, but REALLY try to prove that he respects women…

Wait, it’s a mafia romance. Nothing matters. Everyone is stupid. The main people are hot, their scenes are hotter.

Proceed.

I’ve taken a break from earth shattering, mind blowing, developing characters to read some mafia romances.

Thankfully my brain shuts off when I read these cause so far I’ve cringed, blushed and laughed. Reading block shall be fixed soon.

The plot is so sad right now. Everyone is protecting Katniss and Peeta, they used the voices of their loved ones to torture Katniss and Finnick, Johanna is the only one saying things as they are, mags sacrificed herself, Wires helped than died. And someone still needs to win the hunger games

All these characters are going through hell and this book is about to end..? How can all these be wrapped up in 50 pages?

Been travelling but damn this book is just full of constant motion. Every chapter things happen that I can’t comprehend for a moment, a random morphing sacrificing herself? Finnick letting Mags go? Everyone wearing the gold mockingjay… something is different about these games.

Also, definitely different about these games cause president snow is including less survival stuff… they don’t want a long game.

Woah. Haymitch had one shitty hunger game. He had to go in with 100% more players and he won? Really impressive, also his final kill which wasn’t really his was very cool. His attitude and curiosity really saved him there.

Kind of excited but also not really to read/watch his story. Mainly not excited because I know how it goes but also excited because I like him.

They’re back in the arena?!!!

Also president snow opening some lame box being like “This was organised years ago” I call bull crap on that. You just want Katniss to suffer and want to put even elderly people back in the ring.

Poor Katniss and Peeta, they’re fresh out of the games that they have like muscle memory and are already training, eating right and struggling with the pressure.

Katniss has seen the mockingjay in the footage! I wonder if any of this was planned? Like her wearing the pin, everyone choosing her and this symbol, Cinna possibly making her stand out more?? I’m not sure but I’m heavily interested.

I love Peeta, he understands Katniss so much I actually can’t deal with how much he loves her!

District 8 is the first to kinda start this revolution. They’ve given Katniss an insight to what she’s done for all the districts, what the capital has done to the people.

Scary times of uncertainty and belief right now…

I really like how Katniss is open to a rebellion. It’s not that hard to be convinced of one when her family is/was suffering, her crush was whipped in the square and her life isn’t any calmer since winning the hunger games.

She’s also very human about this. She has her doubts about not being the right person for it, she doesn’t know much to be confident. There’s a lot of depth in these early chapters

(Was reading on the plane and couldn’t update)

Gale was getting whipped for a crime that him and Katniss have been committing for plenty of years and only now he gets caught? Has the capital/higher ups been allowing them to be all romantic together just to find a weak spot for Katniss?

Also, the parallels of Peeta and Gales response to Katniss’ proposal to leave is VERY telling…

How can Peeta and Katniss sleep in the same bed every night and Katniss is still like “I’m conflicted, I kinda like Gale but Peeta has saved me in ways I can never repay. But I’d never confess to either of them.”

Gale kissed you Katniss just to claim you, and he didn’t even have the decency to clarify why he did it. Rude. Poor Peeta is genuinely in love and you are playing with himself

Is it just because Katniss is a bad actor that she really hadn’t convinced the other districts she’s in love with Peeta?

Or is it because everyone just needs a reason to start a revolution? By using the girl on fire it gives the districts reasons to do what they’ve wanted to do. End the games, destroy the capital and get revenge.

That poor man from Fistfict 11 is flying up high with Rue.

Katniss…girl. Peeta isn’t “faking” this whole romance. Also, please stop comparing him to Gale!! You can’t compare them two, besides, Peeta is funnier than Gale.

There’s three people left and District 12 looks like it’s going to be the winner! Cato doesn’t stand a chance cause now that buff boy Peeta and the girl on fire Katniss are back in somewhat decent shape, they’re set to win.

The game makers know what they’re doing with that announcement. They’re fully expecting Katniss and Peeta to get brutally targeted by the other tributes.

R.I.P Rue, I’m sorry I doubted you. Thank goodness this is just in my imagination cause I would avenge her just in today’s world.

Katniss is going to trust Peeta now to win, but he’s like really injured I’m not sure how that’s gonna work.

Listen, Rue is a small, swift young girl from an equally, if not more, worse district. How is Katniss trusting her? There hasn’t been a doubt from Katniss that this little girl, just like Katniss and Peeta, hid her talents from everyone and is actually a maniac….

Yes I’ve seen the movie and I obviously know what happens but the fact that Katniss isn’t questioning it concerns me.

Just a thought.

Does Peeta want to be the one to kill Katniss but like at the end of the games? Like a “Screw you mum! You never believed I could win.” Type of thing.

So far, Katniss hasn’t killed as many people as I imagined she would have. Actually Peeta is the one being more of an animal even though he said I want to be myself, not what the game makers want me to be.

Katniss smiled at the camera such a bad bitch!

I can’t put this book down!

It may be the audiobook helping but this is so well paced that there isn’t a moment for me to get bored. The MANY descriptions of the food get me hungry though. Loved the interview guy.

The relationship between Katniss and Peeta is very interesting, he’s very kind (Maybe) and she’s openly rude/guarded (protecting herself) so I’m eager to see this relationship further develop.

Cinna and Portia deserve a lot for making district 12 stand out! When Katniss thought she was going to be naked because Cinna said he wanted to change it up I found that funny.

Peeta said “You should wear flames more often, they suit you.” That’s kinda cute but also… he could be planning to burn her alive…idk.

I appreciate how level headed Katniss is. She’s thinking ahead of everything. Not crying on camera, questioning the intentions of the baker and his son Peeta, very stern with her mother, Prim and Gale right as she’s leaving.

However, she still has her moments of being human, so I can feel some empathy towards her.

You don't realise how much money is sent into a void until you calculate just how much is gone. We all are victims to it, but even just that chapter can help even the lazy!

Seriously, how the heck is this story going to end? Riven has to kill Jude but obviously doesn’t want to.

I think Sil is not as powerful as he claims. If Riven can convince everyone to go off script with the limited time they have to do so, they can take him out.

Oh, I’m still confused when I read certain scenes. Might be a skill issue.

I’m not letting my confusion ruin this book. The more I read the more I understand, the more it revealed the better for me.

For obvious reasons, talking like they’re in a play, they got characters, they’re not “real” is jarring. That’s when I get hella confused but you get into a rhythm.

It’s seriously sad though. “If not in this one, then in the next.” MY HEART HURTS STOP THIS NONSENSE!

If everything is already written, can Riven really change anything. My head hurts to think about this. Idk if it’s my fault or the books fault.
