HIS PROPOSAL, THEIR FOREVER by Melissa McClone - 4 stars. Nice enemies (rivals?) to lovers story. Buddy the stray dog was cute. The resolution just felt a bit rushed.

Like, I'm all for flirty banter, but that seems a bit violent, no?

I don't like book Anthony too much. He seems to have anger issues. Like, i'd be legit afraid to marry him if he gets this angry over getting a little wet.

Show Anthony was grumpy but his anger (as far as I remember) was always justified and, more importantly, contained.

Today I learned you hibernate tortoises in a fridge for winter! Temp should be kept at 5C, and the length of hibernation varies per tortoises. But my god, I was horrified at first, thinking sweet Hettie had died, then that these horrible people were freezing her. So I'm glad the author's note explained it, and an online search (BBC article) confirmed it. My God.

Is this even remotely realistic?!

This got so much darker than I expected.

I wish she'd given the princes names beyond their sins. Having the MMC be named Envy just keeps pulling me out of the story.

Also, I don't get too much sense of his sin? Like, Camilla gets jealous when he's with other women, but even in the descriptions of his court and other people's reactions to him, he still feels more generic hot rich demon guy than the actual prince of envy.
