Im watching the tv show at the same time and i know a lot of book readers hated it, but sriously book clary is soooo annoying and jace, isabelle and alec are horribly to clary. They treat her like dirt. In the show everyone is micer and much more bearable. I also liked isabelleks addiction storyline in the show, the characters in the book are kinda bland. And clary still acts like a child just like in the first book

Stubbornness is a cool character trait unless the character is being stubborn about small things. Especially in situations where they should be mature enough to know that they are in the wrong - that just makes them look stupid. I have an issue with making your female protagonist look like a 12 year old, because they are tiny, and tomboyish. Add being stubborn just because to that mix and they look like a toddler.

Why do authors tend to write 16 year olds like 10 year olds. They are more mtaure, they are almost adulst

the book i have also includes american spelling like "apologize" randomly. at times the book uses normal british spelling, "apologise" "practise" and then it'll include anericanised words as well... im seriously starting to wonder if the editor really read this book or if they just scammed the author?
