Introduced to a new queer character in Lucca and no book dedicated to him....feels like an oversight....I sincerely hope something happens between now and later

It's around this point, in my mind, that the Rachel is like f*ck Shane. So I'm not expecting much at this point and it's nice to finally be close to current timeline. This feels like it shouldve been the third book and then the others to follow; because having Ilya show up in almost all of them felt off until you read this one....not something I'm sure I like

The closer we get to time lines the better the books feel. I get this is supposed to be a stand alone, but it felt like hours/pages could've been trimmed down and stream lined without the reiterating what happened in the past books. Especially because Ilya is practically in all of them. But I also don't read with rose tinted glasses

Ok Reid made a great villain in Crowley, but waited for the last two books to introduce him. I already feel like there will be no cathartic comeuppance for him

Some things that bug me...the times each narrative takes place, yes the books could be stand alone if she hadn't inserted Ilya into every one of them, because he's her Lestat. So Ilya bad mouths his new team in this book, but in the previous he's optimistic and encouraging. But clearly where I'm at now that hasn't happened and that's jarring. And neither character are consistent. She doesn't like Shane

Again, the fact Ilya sees everything is kinda unrealistic at this point. Like how Rice just made Lestat 'the' vampire. And somehow Ilya is not discreet about him and Shane. Yet again all are oblivious

Not feeling the premise of this book, it's too flimsy for a long book like this.

Some of y'all just be honest, you like smut over plot, character development, etc
This book feels like it was written by a different person, not in an edearing way. Kips voice is nothing like it was in the first book.

He just feels like a different person. Everyone else seems alright, and same with Kyle, one interaction and he's simping?

This is snobbish of me to say...but I think people have no taste. You like what you like, but seriously rate it fairly, not just because it made you horny.

Already better than the last two entries

Took Shane a minute to realise while Iliya left...even though he was told his father was dying. Authors making obtuse characters is... frustrating
