Totally absorbing ensemble - chosen family.

Curious short anecdotes

This looks like being long and political, but of course it opens with a murder of someone who was declared dead years ago. I look forward to "meeting" Sansom's 15-year-old Lady Elizabeth, destined to be come Queen Elizabeth the First.

I'm reading and also enjoying the audio. Winman's narration and her vocal interpretation of the first two women sound just how I'd imagine them.

So far, it’s a sadly familiar story.

So far so good but not earthshaking. Pleasant audio, the bit that I’ve listened to.

Slow reading because I don't want to miss a word.

I dare not read this quickly lest I miss a delicious twist of words or a description I wish I could remember.

I think I'm going to like this one.

Absorbing

What a strange and interesting book! There's a modern story running in alternate chapters with some kind of wild 'historical' tale/myth/dark fantasy about with a mad emperor and six levels of Hell. YIKES!

I'm loving this one so far.

I'm always a little nervous getting to attached to the Slow Horses because in this game, everyone is expendable.
