The final 30 pages are such a struggle. I'm reading completely different story at the end. I like Novik's writing style but something's wrong with this book.
I understand that writers are limited to certain amount of wordcount, but I felt that there were too many ideas to be explored and eventually maybe only hinted.

Here I am after 10 years, I'm finally reading it. I'd rather read only about Kelsier and Dox. SUPER grateful that it's surprisingly fast to read.

What did you expect from an English studies grad? I swear, I was in desperate need of something with magic, folklore, excitement. Upon realising how I unconsciously pick up books connected to the British isles. Maybe Outlander should be next.
