A Christmas Carol has always been one of my favorite Christmas movies. The 1951 version with Alastair Sim as Scrooge to be exact. But I have never actually taken the time to read the classic story. I know it by heart from the many versions of it I have seen on the screen. I read a children’s book version I had as a kid, but never the original. Now is the time!

I have no idea who is doing what! I cannot wait to find out the reveal. This has been a fun, quick read.

Ok something must happen soon cause it’s too early to end happy. I will be docking this book one star because calling someone a “good girl” and asking “who’s my good girl” during every sex scene is creepy.

I am loving this book!!! It’s cozy, cute but also drama!!! I cannot wait to find out how this all plays out.

I have a feeling I’m gonna live this. I hope I’m not wrong. It has started off strong and Christmasy.

This is a slow read. I want more coffee shop and less Target. I already know who the villain is. It’s glaringly obvious. How did Brenda use WiFi in alternate universe but then never has a phone signal while there is rest of book so far?

Kat and Brenda are cute. The romance is refreshing.

Sooo much going on and loving it! These women are catty and messy. I don’t know who to trust. Sofia is definitely my fave character even if she ends up being a villain.

We could have had nice things and nice people.

Ok wow! The first actual story I was not a fan of, but the next 3 are so good! If anyone comes across this book, the story Golden Dragon is a must read! Tiffany D. Jackson also has a story in here and I cannot wait!

Spoiler alert…the opening story is not good. Killing your boyfriend cause you don’t know how to break up with him (she’s not in any danger) is a lame story and weak opening to this book. I’m hoping it gets better.

Ok this book is all over the place. One story will be great followed by an incredibly boring story. I’m already skimming boring stories to try to get to a better one. Will try to finish.

Secrets, secrets, secrets. Love a messy couple in a possibly haunted house.

The Best House on the Block was such a good short story. So far another great collection!

Thank you, Christine for writing the book all Sister Wives fans have been wanting and waiting for! She’s so open about everything and it’s nice hearing her side. She’s funny and explains so much.

Loving this one! The characters and their friendships are heartwarming. The romance is cute and exciting. I have no idea how this will end, but finding the multiverse fascinating!

Is this why people read cozy fantasy? I’ve tried 3 books before this one and didn’t finish any. But I am loving The Spellshop! I think I finally get why cozy fantasy can be so nice and good for escaping the real world.

Delightful and charming. So far I’m devouring this book just like Kiela devoured the cinnamon buns from the local bakery. Caz, the spider plant is my fave character. I agree with his stance about weeds, too! Justice for the plants that people refer to as weeds!!!

Not my favorite in series so far. Really tired of the ghost of Fanny when there’s easily 8 ghosts at Hadlow House by now. I also don’t like when kids have horrible things happen to them and that’s part of plot. I usually stay away from books where I know kids are getting hurt.

I was wondering what Cross could do differently with the third book in series. I’m enjoying the plot and how it is different than first two books while still involving Hadlow House. I think my favorite ghost is Oliver.

I’m loving this book but was there no editor? The Mom’s name, Rose has changed to Ruth in both chapters 11 and 14. I’m gonna ignore it cause the plot is spooky and good.
