To the monsters we became." Ahhh these dedications! They are what make me excited about the book.

“And every year, you will come back to me?”
“Without fail.”
Sabine pulled him toward her, her lips hovering over his as they curved into a smile. “This is going to be very interesting.” What an ending line! It might be my favorite in the book.

I think this might be sad! My tissues are ready.... just in case!

“This island is mine, and you are not wanted here.” What a line!!!! Go Lola!

Professor Crane nodded. “Women have a greater connection to the magical forces of nature; this has always been true.”
“And they’ve always been punished for it,” Lola said, feeling generations of anger rising in her chest. “Or used; or destroyed.” If only there was not so much truth in this!

“She is something,” Gael said as he watched her walk away, and Lola had a sudden urge to punch him. He wasn’t the only one
staring—half the boys looked hypnotized. The girls, meanwhile, were caught somewhere between amusement, confusion and outrage.” Definitely a siren! I am surprise Lola isn’t calling out how weird this is….

I get some siren vibes from this new girl... time will tell if I am correct!

Oh, to reunite with Lola, Nix, and the rest! I didn't realize how much I missed them.

I am on Book 5 now! This has been terrific. I wish more authors compiled their series into one entire book. I don’t see it done very much but it is a wonderful way to keep reading right away after a book ends.

An entire series in one book! It looks like I have my reading for the rest of this month cut out for me.

“Help us,” the banter bear cried, shaking its head. Then it caught sight of Barnaby. Barnaby saw it smile. It ambled toward him, mouth open and one arm outstretched. It looked even larger than before.” The banter bear is so creepy!

“You will live like that for the rest of your life, always at the mercy of the moonrise. There is no cure.” I gasped!
