Husserl endeavours to point out how Descartes failed to become the father of transcendental subjectivity. He immediately concluded the thinking being out of the ego cogito and instead of staying within the framework of perception, he moved into explaining the real world.

Picked up this book as a prerequisitive of another great book, the phenomenology of perception. a Cartesian method after nearly three decades.

I'm hooked at last but that says nothing of the quality of the writing. The author knows how to drag on and keep the reader's attention. In that sense just like a Netflix series. I believe he us a very ables writer. The problem is that he quite consciously targets a wider span of audience. He knows all the tricks in the book. But he decides to deliver a "Titanic".

The story is pretty straight forward. Like a Netflix series. Short chapters with well knitted links and headers to lure the reader inti the next pages, similar to any series out there. This of course sacrifices what I expect from a novel, the literature, the soul. It's missing. So bit it, it's a light read.

I'm taking a liking to the Werner character. His curious attitude toward science and imagination resonates with ms. Perhaps this would have been a good early novel had I read it as a teenager

This was a gift and I have not much expectations, as it is not as inspiring so far. So let's see

It's a very dense and packed book. I admit. Dussel has taken upon himself a massive project to resposition western philosophy from the viewpoint of the periphery. His language is sharp and unapologetic. He criticizes almost all big names. It doesn't seem an easy read. He starts his ontology in contrast with the westerns such as Heidegger, not from being, but from proximity. I shall see how it unfolds

So finally in this chapter we realize the core notion of the book. It could have easily been condensed in the first chapters, however Ghodsee chose to linger with her usual way. In short sexual economic is a model for capitalism society and glosses over a whole spectrum of other modes of social life. And financial independence makes a better sex life.
