i’m honestly getting really sick of this book. i’m real close to dnf’ing it. it’s insanely repetitive and the character relationships make zero sense. i can see what’s trying to be done here, but it’s just not landing.

oh okay. this is literally torture porn. i should’ve guessed based on the CWs but i’ll keep going for now.

i despise Lila so much. she’s such a horrible person and i just know Schwab is gonna turn her into a hero. whyyyyyy?

i don't know if i'm cut out for literary fiction. i'm finding this kind of boring so far. the first half was okay, but the main character seems so insufferable and then Plath wants me to feel sympathy because the MC is depressed, but i hated her so much at the beginning that i just don't have sympathy? i don't know. i guess i'll see how it ends tomorrow and if it gets any better for me.

it’s gettin real. but i gotta break for the night before it gives me nightmares.

so far, so good. i love learning more about Sara’s past, but damn it’s dark. massive trigger warning for r*pe.
