why is this 90% filler

why did it get so communist out of nowhere it almost makes me uncomfortable

Me: okay, only 75 chapters, really short for a chinese web-novel, it would be a nice and quick read.
The novel: each chapter is 10k characters long.
Me: but usually a chapter in a novel is like 3-4k characters??

The ending was daring! I didn't cry though.
I need to sleep on it to gather my thoughts.
Also, i need to eat something, because i've been hungry for several hours at this point, not being able to put the book down
