Digging into high school lit shelf.

Another foray into a universe of my youth. Will it hold up?

We'll see how this goes.

For morning reflection / study in 2026.

Looking forward to this read, not only because of the subject matter, but because the author was my Tech & Civ professor at Auburn.

This is a CH Spurgeon book published by Tyndale Bible Society, circa late 1960's. No ISBN, and thus I am choosing to coopt this "unknown" edition for my own purposes. The book looks like the one at this link:

I have some dozen of these books in a box, but I have a strong feeling that this is one trip back that I may find wanting.

Another trip into the paperbacks of my past ...

Working my way through a stash of old forgotten paperbacks ...

Picked this up in a used bookstore in Franklin, TN. Will accompany the biography of Remington I read a few years back. Alas, Goodreads won't let me upload a picture of the cover anymore.

Another frivolous foray into books of my youth ...

I may not have picked the right book to start exploring offerings from the Hourly History. Only a quick couple of chapters in, and I'm not impressed. The subtext of the first couple of chapters: the US was unnecessarily paranoid and the USSRs early sins were understandable.

We'll see if the first re-read after nearly 30 years holds up. And I'm cheating: the version I have is a single, impossible-to-hold volume with Books #1 - #10. But I'm going with the individual editions to vainly claim credit for reading all 10.
