well this book got annoying real fast. the heroine is pissing me off with her attitude

this book. holy shit — IM HOWLING 😭

3% in and the heroine is already obnoxious af 😭 can only describe her as THAT kind of american who is entitled. not one single shred of politeness on this one.

hate that im already disliking the character cos of the attitude. and too early in the book. smh

Ngl, Thanatos is my now favorite Horseman. He's there at the top of the list kicking down Pestilence to the second place. Something daddy about him 😏

jump to chapter 6. you do not need to read the first 20% if you do not want to feel icky and uncomfortable about the heroine being a minor. this 50 pages flashback aint even necessary, it's just gonna make you uncomfortable

Ash is so nice, a great character so far and it makes it hard to root for Sera. She's slowly turning to be the bad guy in my eyes right now, ngl. Why root for the killer (even if she's the main character of the story) when the victim has done nothing wrong?

Havent found one redeeming trait for Sera and I'm getting impatient

i still dont get what good it will do if sera finally assassinates nyktos... like, do the rot will instantly disappear if he stops breathing? doesn't the rot ceasing hinges on the fact that the deal has to be fulfilled so he can remove the curse? why kill the one who is able to do just that?

...was this even explained in this book or did i somehow miss why the mission has to be done?

i took that nap and immediately started reading this when i woke up

gotta say i love the flirting here and miss seraphina's attitude. THATS MY GIRL

i wish jla didnt write such wordy pages when nothing barely happens. i feel like my time is being wasted with all the rehashing and detailed inner monologues happening in her books 😫

based on the summary alone, why is this book not a reverse harem? it sounds like a contemporary snow white trope but make the dwarves very masculine, burly, powerful hockey players instead and then... of course magic happens, folks! damn, that was a missed opportunity lol now im mad this isnt an rh book 1 /j
