I mean I already knew but nothing could have quite prepared me for how gross Louis' vision of 5yo Claudia is

I'm crying this Louis does not fuck with Lestat at all 😭

"Don't be afraid, just start the tape"

Omg so here we are. Do you guys remember when prestige show Interview With the Vampire incorporated book quotes into its remastered story and blended them so well with the atmosphere they instantly became iconic without even trying ? Yeah...me too...

Woah, everything truly does come back to vampirism

iknow we're gonna make it but I'm so scared

My first Baihe I'm attempting to read in Chinese from start to finish, I'm saurr excited 😖

the way I thought Muntadhir was a decent person for like 5 seconds

I don't know why I waited so long to pick it up I like it sm

"I wanted to stop her. I wanted to ask if it'd be fine for us to talk for just a bit longer."

Kdj and Ysa's conversation in the library is one of the most important things to me ever, there truly was a healing #hopecore

there's not a single thing I like about Dara

"That fucking Kim Dokja standing over there is definitely evil" 😭 out of context this scenario is so goofy

So far I loveee the lore, though I'm def intrigued at the king willingly choosing illiteracy, it sounds like possibly the biggest weakness ever ? Can't you just get betrayed left and right easily that way even if your scribes are loyal..? Also the romance, nawt sure I'm on board but we'll see

Hai...life got in the way but I'm hopefully back 😖

Xiao Chiye is so hungry bro

"He had listened till he heard Catherine say it would degrade her to marry him, and then he stayed to hear no farther"
Classic as old as time

might be an unpopular opinion but I lowkey stan the empress dowager like.. is she so wrong ? not really. go get that agency queen

Henry is not a real person bro

Ok Henry let's get you to bed

bro bunny is the world's biggest fucking parasite

thank God for the 5 year time skip bcs I have to admit I was a bit scared to be stuck with a 16yo mc

oh ok

endlessly screaming inside my head

so when does Bunny die ? hurry up

well I can't say it's horrific so far but it's fun

"My intent to kill him meant Hesin was my enemy. Why hadn’t I realized it sooner?"
😭 I'm trying to take this seriously I swear

the concept of a powerful and ambitious eunuch sharing the empire's and crown prince's story to a concubine who arrived three seconds ago 🤔🤔

Yin Wei saying she finally understands she'll have to utilize her power to stay alive and swearing she'll never be as cruel as the other ppl in the palace in the same breath. Son 😭😭😭

Hmmm this book so far feels written for people who have not yet interacted with books, shows or documentaries about ancient China at all. It's not necessarily a bad thing but the main character is naive to a point 😭 which is very convenient to introduce palace politics 101, I can only hope it gets more inspired as it goes
