Just started to read the book today, but it's very promising so far.

We need to have fixed values, to better guide our decisions, to be better human beings. This values will be part of our 'moral compass', in a way.

There will be obstacles and temptations, like the books says, but as long as we respect these value, by taking action, we are making the best possible path.

14 - We need to act. Moving is different.

15 - We must create resistence for our bad habits, make them harder, so we can start to recognize them as hard and not worthy.
The opposite must happen for our good habits. This is one of the best points of the book, I think.

So far, what I take from the book is:

1 - Our family, friends and others, in a way or another, shaped our belives and mind when younger. This could be good or bad, but we must realize that we can aspire to the right / higher values we want to achieve. It's not about what others think about us or life. We can choose our values. And we shall elevate them endlessly.

1 - Clean your house. Less is more. We have so many things we don't use. We have more choice having less things, that we care about, instead of having lots of things we will never use.

13 - When in a group of people, we are more susceptible to agree with the general opinion. If we have a different one, and apparently valid, we must not conform to the group's opinion. We might be wrong or right, but we must always think about the options we have and not conform to something just because most of the people did, even if the fact that we're different might change their opinion about us. Might be good.

10 - Triggers. We must hide the triggers that will lead us to bad habits and make visible the ones that will help us improve in our life.

11 - It's the anticipation of wanting to do something that make us act, one of the responsibles being dopamine. We must be aware of these dopamine rushes.

12 - We must find people that share the same or better interests, so we can aspire to something better and make good habits.

The book starts with great points, but I'm not enjoying it that much right now.

Still, here's the stronger points so far:

1 - Decisions. We must be aware of them and notice our decisions and how they will affect us. They shape our path in life.

2 - The way we associate things in our brain. We need to understand that, sometimes, pain has meaning and pleasure doesn't, even though our brain "won't agree".

4 - It's more than the result. The focus, patience, organisation were part of the process. You worked not only on a result, but also on yourself.

5 - Habits make us change the way we see ourselves. We learn from experience.

6 - Habits allows us to make things in an easier way. Because we do something so much, it becomes automatic.

7 - We save mental energy due to our habits. The activity it's simpler to us now.

I'm liking the book so far.
Lots of great stuff :)

Main points:

1 - If you want to do something, you must become that something. You won't try to learn how to play tennis. You are a goddamn tennis player. And what do tennis players do? They work hard, always focused and looking for ways to improve their game.

2 - Focus on the process, not the goal.

3 - Give it time. Things won't happen overnight.
