Garth Johnson is finished with Spy Story (Secret File, #6)
Just finished this. I read it immediately after Spy who came in from the cold. It's a great tale but didn't grip me in the same way as Le Carre.

Garth Johnson is finished with Ashenden
A really great book! It's a good while since I last read Somerset Maugham and I'd quite forgotten how brilliantly he writes.

Garth Johnson is finished with The Book Nobody Read : In Pursuit of the Revolutions of Nicholas Copernicus
This is a long story of some very hard work. I enjoyed most of it although I got a bit bogged down from time to time. Overall, I felt that the story was much stronger than the way it was told.

Garth Johnson is finished with Gabriele D'Annunzio: Poet, Seducer, and Preacher of War
Just finished this. A long a slightly unconventional biography of a strange, brilliant but unpleasant man. The author presents the different aspects brilliantly together with insights into early 20th century Italian life and politics. A great read

Garth Johnson is finished with Goodbye to All That
Just finished. I read this many years ago but it was really worth a return visit in WW1 anniversary year. It is still fresh after so many years. Recommended!

Garth Johnson is finished with Into The Silence: The Great War, Mallory and the Conquest of Everest
A long read but well worth the effort. The blending between World War I and mountaineering works well. The whole story of the Mallory expeditions is a real tribute to his passion to succeed. A great book!

Garth Johnson is on page 100 of 271 of The Magic of Reality: How We Know What's Really True
I didn't really ever finish this! The reason for this was that Dawkins appears to say exactly the same thing in every chapter. It must be wonderful to be so certain!!

Garth Johnson is finished with Private Down Under (Private #6)
Finished this. I didn't really enjoy it. Style is awful and I didn't really think it was a very good story.

Garth Johnson is finished with Cairo in the War 1939 - 1945
Mixed reactions to this. Some parts I really enjoyed, other parts I found boring. Some really good descriptions of life in Cairo St that time.
