I am officially so very burnt out on alternating timelines in books 😭 like for the love of god, can someone give me a linear story??????

not going to rate this because it’s a debut with few ratings, but it would be in the 2 star family for me—I just did not care about anyone or anything happening in this 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m very much past the demo for this now, but it served the purpose I read it for—it showed me an experience of what it can be like to have pretty extreme photosensitivity, which was interesting! There were also a number of things I saw myself in, which was also eerie haha

the way I saw a glimmer of hope for a beat that this might not be a 2 star but now I’m listening to the stupidest late 3rd act conflict….. the root of the issue was actually good ground to cover, but the rationale and dialogue through it was so confusing and cringe
