So far, this is the best book I've read in a long time.

Alright, so... I'm aware I've been pretty much AWOL for a loooong time (SORRY!!!) - so this is just to let you know that I'm well! Simply now a mom of two little insomniac kids while working a full-time job. Life has a way of getting between you and your reading addiction. ;-D
Anyway, since I'm trying (!) to find a better balance between reading and sleeping, I might be around a little bit more! Fingers crossed!! :)

I can't help myself, I just can't stand Tucker sometimes. And his overbearing, controlling self. I really enjoyed this book so far, but I think after the last scenes I really need to take a break from this because it seriously upsets me. I can only say that if my husband dealt with my upsets the way Tucker deals with Elliot's, I'm not sure if I'd be married for long.

So, what's the deal with new adult books? Seems like everywhere I look, mm authors produce them assembly-line style. And I just don't get the appeal. What's so good about being a teenager? I kinda hated it when I was, and I don't need the constant reminder of the perpetually scrambled brains, the fuck-the-world 'tudes, and the self-obsessed angst. ... please, my favourite authors, I want not-so-new adults! Please!

On a re-reading trip for the last few days, and it's AWESOME!!!...

Quick update what happened in the last year (just an explanation, no excuse ;-D): My family now counts three with my now six-months daughter joining the ranks, I finished my PhD, and moved twice - and then I suddenly looked at the calendar and thought, holy crap, it's June already?

Argh, RL is crazy at the moment. Hope I'll go back to my reading days soon *sigh*

This is so much fun!!! Too bad that RL doesn't seem to care that I NEED TO READ, DAMN IT!!! *sigh*

Half the time I reread something from my M/M honeymoon period I'm thinking "How high did I rate this? What the hell was I thinking?" - So what should I do now? Go through all the stories and rate them anew? Seems like an awful amount of work, doesn't it? Or just leave it be and change the rating of those I happen to try again anyway? *sigh* Just... what the hell was I thinking???

It's weird. There are lots of interesting things in this story I totally like. And yet, the writing and I, we just don't click. *grumble*

And it's gotten so much better again. LOVE how uncomplicated and unapologetic Mark and Deke deal with their kinks. And how eager they are to try things out. Man. Fantastic characters.

I HAD to squeeze that in. A Marie Sexton short. Yay!!

Okay, this has already made me laugh really hard... but, to be honest, all that pledge shit is starting to get on my nerves a bit. Who in the world goes through that voluntarily? And... WHY???

Bloody hell, this book is intense! I already know I'll need a break between this one and the sequel...

Oh wow, I'm impressed! Great world building and the dynamics between Freyrik and Ayden are delightful!
