I finished reading the letters and moving to chapter 1 now. I didn't really expect the story to begin like this... The scientist meeting Mr. Robert in a ship and telling his story to him. I really expected that Robert would become the scientist in the future haha... though now thinking more about it, I wonder how I even got that idea xD This start feels fresh, and the story feels grounded... looking forward to it!

And now this book has become a page turner! I really can't get enough of August and Jane. And Billy's. And her roommates... they are eccentric, but seems like they all have good hearts.
Jane seems like a really lovely person. Hope we get to know more about her soon!
P.S The first conversation was really something, haha. And the lipstick conversation was so cute >3<

Well, I came back to reading again :) And though the first chapter was kinda... one of a kind (I'm not used to reading English of this kind haha), I pulled through, and I like the 2nd chapter so far! Let's see where the story goes. I can't wait to see more of August and leather jacket girl!

Ch. 34: reading about wanyue's feelings for li xian left a smile on my face :3

(contd). Princess seems good too. Judging from the reviews I thought she'd be a master manipulator of sort, but it doesn't seem that way! Sure, she has ulterior motives, but she does care about Wanyue to a certain extent. But as for their relationship... haha, I don't have much hopes for it. But as a historial book, so far this has been a great read!

Started reading after a long time now! Read upto chapter 30. It's funny to see A-Yin falling for Wanyue. Girl would be so embarassed if she were to know the truth. On the other hand, Wanyue likes the Princess ~ I really love Wanyue, such a great character, so well written! Never thought I'd enjoy gritty war scenes so much.

LMAO the Li Zhong archery scene. It's too funny xD
And Zhang Sangbo is a really good guy. Good to see he isn't trying to overthrow Wanyue from her position.

Since the scene of Li Xian and Wanyue meeting, I have been unable to put this down xD The princess is still so mysterious, I want to learn more about her!

Chapter 12: Lin Wanyue pushed Lin Yu to be the general. It might have worked now, but I'm not sure if that was a great idea? I mean, Yu doesn't seem to possess any of Wanyue's intellect. So unless Wanyue is always around to help him with pointers, soon Li Mu will find out that Yu isn't that good. So what will happen then?

I love the interactions between Lin Yu and Lin Wanyue. They are such sibling coded, it feels so refreshing. <3

Love the prose. So poetic and beautiful. Reminds me of the days back when I had a crush on someone and journalled about it in such flowery language. And thought when it had started xD

Came back to reading after a long time! Really liking it now. This is now my comfort read before bed and it's sooo good 💖

Really like it so far! The mangaka is super talented!
