Considering DNFing

Well narrated and beautifully written but dragging for story. It’s a vampiric heroine. Again. In Duet. The story has stopped making any progress now that we’re undead.

This is nothing but a big soap opera based in a critical time in the world’s history. It’s wearing on me how superficial these individuals are. I am stopping here. We’ll see if I finish before our club session. Doubtful.

The little book recommendations that are Easter-egged throughout the correspondence are so intriguing. I will be following up on requesting a list from the web and reviewing which I have read and which would be strong TBRs. What a treat!

Well it was just delightful but about 30 minutes ago everything went completely sideways. I’m sure it will tie up its perceived loose ends but it’s just gone off the deep end already and can’t pull up from this disaster. What a disappointment.

Just delightful. I am enjoying this book so much. Each character is so different and yet fascinating. I want to know them each better.

This has been a pretty great book but now it’s hitting the romance button. I was really hoping there’d be a asexuals ending that made this book completely new and different. Quitting now.

And isn’t that what hope is? Not a wish not a specific thing that you pray will be delivered to you, but merely an expectation that whatever dark sleety side of the road, you might find yourself on, will not last forever.

“I’m a highly sexed person”. That’s about the sum of the entire book

Idk what the heck is going on here. Nothing is going on at all. Not sure if I’m the audience for this book. Not sure if this is a book I read.
Also, so consumerized and concrete. Ironically not answering any questions to the meaning of life though that’s what the main character is looking for.

Meh. I’m listening to the audiobook version and it’s getting pictured as a Scooby-Doo cartoon. These kids are very similar to Velma & Scooby and all the “patients” are the bad guys.
I’m letting this sit for a while and shelving it as unfinished.

Reading via audio at 1.8 speed. Just got to the 1/2 way micro-dosing spot and it’s somehow very amusing.
If I had ever been roofied, this would be awful.
