K so I lied when I said I was gonna put this on pause lol. Lord Emsworth was fairly likable in the first two full length stories, a bumbling old space case, but in the shorter ones that have come after, he's.. just a bit of an ass ngl. And a crap father. I don't particularly like him anymore. And where'd Galahad go! He was the best character!!

Might put this on hold. After the first volume, it really shows that Wodehouse has one story that is just told over and over with the odd name change... a good, entertaining story, but it becomes a bit tiresome if you try to listen to all of it in one go.

Alright, here we go... am I familiar with Twelfth Night? Not really. Am I even going to bother searching up a quick summary? Probably not.

See the problem here is that Michael reminds me too much of this creepy guy who started borderline stalking me for months because he decided he was in love with me or something after like immediately after we met. So yeah. Hard to root for Michael when I know how awful it is to be on the other side of the attentions of a person like that.

Ngl, it would be kinda cute to have Elliot and Adam date for a while... and maybe even somehow come around to Adam endgame... Obviously Luke is endgame, but y'know. Would just be more unexpected and interesting to switch it up. Plus Luke hasn't been very interesting so far, there's not a ton of chemistry.

Elliot is a fucking riot, a true 13 year old. I hope he stays this way.

Sex again. And hardly anything else has happened since the last time. Boring.

You'd think I'd be less icked out by sex scenes now that my personal circumstances have changed, but it's just as bad as ever... ew. Gotta zone out entirely or I just want to gag.

Oh, turns out I was mistaken.. instead of hanging around for a third act breakup, we've switched characters. Interesting.

Unfortunately not very into this.. and they're already together (and getting too physical too soon, sigh), which means we're getting the classic AH third act breakup. I mean, we would've gotten that even if they didn't get together until the 80% mark. But yknow.

The pacing in this book is awful. Why are we in the full swing of this stupid elopement plot that just came out of nowhere two pages ago.

Afraid this is another one of those books where I have to acknowledge that lgbtq+ representation doesn't automatically equal a good, compelling story or characters.. they're so freaking flat, zero chemistry. Zero development between them at the halfway mark.

Ngl, I'm not feeling this so far. Neither character had caught my interest yet. And then there's the cliche ohh my horse who doesn't like anybody let him get close.. meh. Why are romance writers so insistent that that means something.

Things are being WAY overcomplicated by the insistence on all this Buddhist terminology. The title and synopsis say nothing about Buddhism, that's not what I'm here for. And the writing is just overly complicated in general. I know I'm not all that intelligent, but istg it takes 6 passes to parse a single sentence.

Okay, page two of the intro and we're already sounding a little woowoo.. fingers crossed that's not going to be the tone going forward
