I should have read the book instead of the audio. The robotic voice combined with the endless philosophical science questions serves only to put me to sleep. Not sure why everyone is giving this so much love.

Not enjoying the sequel to Eclipse as much, the character is all too sufferable. The prose is even more self-indulgent than usual. I will take my time with this, swirling the heavy Cabernet against the glass and savoring Banville's mastery of the English language.
