Never expected an SMT reference as a chapter title, but here we are.

Okay, so from chapter four onwards, the tense goes from present to past. Yeah, don't think that'll fly from an editor's viewpoint. Other than that, no other issues for now.

So this story is told in first-person, present tense, which is a bit odd for me since I'm used to reading stories in the past tense. No matter, I'mma carry on.

...And another author sin from the last book rears its ugly head: have all the men that are not authority figures be complete jackasses. In this case, it's the men from the Squares squadron.

I'm starting to see the same problems that plagued the first book. Grammatical errors regarding multiple quotes said by the same character, a head hop, and single-sentence "paragraphs" that ought to be merged together. There was some degree of character growth but not development, and the first sex scene was pretty lackluster.

Yeah, this is pretty much my put-down point for now. Tiamat's dialogue is just too much, and the prologue that describes her initial human appearance just oozes r/menwritingwomen. If Tia's dialogue read more like Marvel's Asgardians, or how Sekirei's English dub handled Tsukiumi's archaic speech, I'd bear with it a lot more.
