okay this book is starting to hurt in a quiet sneaky way…
brett isn’t evil she just feels kind of unmoored like she knows she’s going to hurt people and keeps doing it because she doesn’t know how not to. and jake… god. he just sits in it. everything between them feels like this shared delusion they both see through but refuse to drop.

This book… Natasha Preston’s YA novel The Island did a much better job at understanding how to write a book like this.. this is mehhhhh

this book is darkkk, oddly spicy, not sure if its uncomfortable to read or not.... but this book is hitting all the marks in horror!
