I will not finish. I liked it well enough on FanFiction website, but the errors I found endearing as an unpublished fan fiction, are not so in a published book. I just could not pass them.

I finished it. It never strayed from dull. It was fine I supposed.

I must say so far, it is a bit dull. But I will carry on.
As for the cringeworthy language errors, I will try to ignore them…

The premises seem promising.
As for the editing, it is appalling so far.
Are they sure someone proofread this?

I have started this book almost a week ago, and I have a hard time going back to it. I had such a feeling of dread as I was reading, every time I think of opening it again I wince. It has a lot of good reviews, so I'd like to finish it, but I don't know if I'll manage starting again. We shall see...

I’m not sure I will continue reading this. So far, it seems Mr. D is too depressed, and it looks like W might have too much power over every body. I can’t like that…🤷🏻‍♀️

I must admit I have skipped forward.

So far, it is difficult to convince myself to keep on reading. The reviews are good, and maybe the core of the story is interesting and a good idea. But, the tone seemed wrong. The dialogues are stilted, I find them somewhat tedious. There are too many descriptions making no sense. I will keep reading but I am getting annoyed at all the impossibilities as well as Mr D and EB’s OOC behaviours.

Will not finish.

The story has merit. The characters are studied and well rounded, if caricatural for some of them. But the reading becomes tedious when each one's thoughts, feelings and reactions are repeated ad nauseam. Situations are explained over and over again, and yet again several chapters later.

However, I have enjoyed the story.
