Two chapters in.
1. Rereading in German made me realize how much easier it is to understand the winding clause-laden style in the original.
2. These opening chapters are hard, but there’s very fun material peppered in, e.g. Marx’s brief materialist analyses of religion and history.
3. The brief commodity fetishism section is rightfully famous. Easy to see why it was so influential on the Frankfurt School.
