I've never read a book in recent memory that abused verbs and misplaced modifiers this much. I love the vibes, but the grammar aint it

There are still bits of prose that jump out at me every so often that I really adore. I really want this to be good, but the next 260 pages have to do some heavy lifting

I love the concept of this story but the grammar… where was the editor?? Too many sentence fragments and gerunds. I also think the beginning was very strong, but the plots getting lost in all the scenes written to set up Emrys praising Kat.

One thing I don't like about this so far is the jargon is annoying.
