They're putting zombies in the blender. I liked it better when the herald was throwing up flags. That was at least funny. I loved when the demon was like aww man did you have to do that here? I don't want flags in my office. Ruins the unaffiliated vibe. Now it's being all gross again like the first book. Well, I can definitely say I've never read anything like this series. I can't believe the pope is juicing zombies.

Not related to this particular book in the series, but I just found the author's website, and he collects fanart on there. Somebody did a medieval illustration of the scene in The Justice of Kings where a fox is killed for some sort of magical ritual. I am now sad. It's beautiful art. I just...sadness.

Meanwhile in this book, the kitty cats are winning and the prince of hell is loose. Small victories, I guess?

Sometimes they used dandelions to make rubber for tires. Especially back during the world wars. I wonder how much of our car tires today are dandelion rubber? I didn't even know they made rubber from dandelions. I thought they were just useless weeds that everyone hated.

Nature Fact of the Day #2:

Snails that live on land are mostly intersex. It's kind of a toss up for underwater snails whether they'll be intersex or have male/female genders. Slugs are mostly all intersex. 🟨🟣 (not enough flags in emojis, so I'm doing my best with the shapes and colors). For those who are on desktop and can't see, it's a yellow rectangle and a purple circle.

Ladybugs are fierce predators. They hunt and eat aphids. Why did everyone portray lady bugs as these sweet little critters? They should be thugs in every media ever. I always thought A Bug's Life was insane for having an aggressive ladybug. Nope. They got it right. Wow. 🐞

The herald is vomiting flags. I'm being serious. He's literally throwing up country flags for countries that have existed at some point in history. Latest one was the panther people's national flag. They are accompanied by a little bit of the land they live on. Or water, if they're merfolk. I do not envy the herald. It sounds painful. God what even is this series and why do I love it?

I knew they shouldn't have left Amo alone. Hasn't that girl been through enough?

I think this is about to become a pirate book. Please let there be zombie sea monsters. That would be so cool.

Looked up Nile Monitors to see if they'd make the cute list, and actually, they're going top of the invasive list, for Florida specifically. Not sure how they got from Egypt to Florida, but they're invading and they're extremely aggressive and LOVE biting. I read that they're harder to remove than crocodiles because of their aggressiveness. Hope everyone in Florida is doing ok. Info from February 2026.
