I just have to say it. THIS BOOK is the one getting the content warning about body horror specifically about pregnancy? How much worse is this going to be than book one's alien birth? Cause like, that one didn't need a warning, but this one apparently does?

I like Baradonna. She's talking sense. Clearly, both their cultures are suffering and need to see each other's perspectives to start the healing process. Or maybe they'll just go to war. Who knows?

If I didn't have enough of gross alien bodily fluids in the last book, I am now reading the sequel. Wish me luck. I really cannot recommend this series to anyone.

Why is humanity always like this?

This really is just how humanity works. And I hate it.

Why do they even have this stupid system? It's clearly not working for anyone.

I'm sure this is all a metaphor for something in the real world, but I'm too busy just wanting to pet the baby alien. Does it have murderous tendencies? Yes. Is it gross and weird? Yes. But also, it baby. It's like when I read Drifting Dragons and I got attached to the baby eldritch monster. Forget tradition. Forget decorum. I would tear down the whole system to protect that lil baby.

Turns out, living inside a giant alien creature sucks, actually. Note to self: research further into how bodies move stuff around (ie heart pumping blood, stomach fluids, etc.) and how this would be altered depending on the type of body (ie jellyfish, bacteria, bird, flower).

Ohhhhhhhh so now goodreads has limits on how many reviews you can edit in one day or whatever. I bet tomorrow I'll have to do the select all fire hydrants thing if I want to continue working on this project.

The place where I usually post my reviews has been on the frits for a while now, but today when I tried to go there, it just showed a bunch of code and wouldn't let me see anything but error messages. I think it's dead. Over the next few weeks, I'll be updating this with all my reviews, rather than just the links to them, since the links no longer work. Good thing I had it all saved, but still...... :(

I wish it was a bigger size manga, because the highly detailed ink drawings are super tiny. But other than that, it's really silly and I'm having fun.

The attention to detail in this book is like none other. Just listen to this: "Journals and Proceedings Relating to the Study of Bizarre Occurrences in the Curious Region Known as Dickerson's Sea; Being a Record of Events Since the Crossing of Icharus Bend, Thus Written by one Alias Crowe." Reminds me of the book about the Vivian Girls, you know, the one with the insanely long title.

I will read/watch anything he makes. They're always so good.

Am I crazy, or am I just now noticing how few noses the characters have? And it's not just tiny drawings where it might be hard to fit that in. It's sometimes on big faces, too. It feels just sort of random. Where's that meme format of removing noses when I need it? That's what half of these drawings look like. I get it, some characters have small noses. But it just looks weird.

The werewolf story was really sad. How can they not cover all that under insurance? Stupid healthcare being stupid.

I had no idea she had these until I found them at the library in a 6/7 display. Stupid display. Good stories.
