Petty Lili strikes again.

Does Lili really just have an endless supply of exploding earrings? They're literally out of necessities and then she pulls out the MULTI-TIERED BOX completely full of exploding earrings. I love Lili. She's so extra for no reason.

Salt boy is finally pulling his weight around here. Also, I love how the bad guys clearly had no idea who they were dealing with and were surprised when they got exploded. They're the princesses special guards for a reason. I get it, you thought you had dropped salt boy off a cliff to his death, but underestimating the mage is a whole other level of stupid. Should have blown her brains out when they had the chance.

I cannot force myself to be excited about bland grey buildings in Ghost in the Shell, no matter how well drawn they are, no matter how many weird billboards cover their surfaces. It's just so dark and dreary.

Apparently there used to be space travel in this world, but everyone forgot about it. You know what. I think that's my new favorite world building element. The idea that there used to be some connection to other planets, but now there isn't. I've seen this a few times now in fiction and I like it a lot.

History Fact #2:

Clay pottery was a hot commodity for the Pueblo people. They hid their household items made of clay in secret locations to prevent other people from outside their community trying to steal them. Was pottery really hard to make? Was it hard to find the right kind of clay that would set up properly? I'm very curious why it was like this, but this book does not say.

History Fact of the Day:

The Mayans wrote with a glyph language that had both a phonetic writing system as well as a pictorial writing system combined into one language. I was originally planning on starting Egyptian hieroglyphs after finishing Akkadian cuneiform, but now I'm reconsidering maybe starting Mayan first. If you have not seen the ancient Mayan written glyphs, definitely look them up. They are really cool

So far this is just following the movie. I'm hoping that later down the road it branches off. The whole reason I'm here is to see if the manga was a more fleshed out version of the movie, but so far it's not :(

Mangadex had a glitch and I thought this wasn't on there. Turns out I was on another record for the same manga that somehow didn't link back to the English or any language translation and was just blank????? It's all good now. I can read it now. Also, the color pages at the start look so good. I wish we had more color in the original series. It's a fun art style already, but with color it's super cool.

I would not want to be the only mortuary left in an empty, post-apocalyptic world.

I think these are the dumbest people I've ever read about, except their situation is so believable how they got to this point, that I can completely understand how stupid they're being.
