I associate the word "cruel" with violent acts that inflict unnecessary pain on others, I was expecting something severe.

I did not sign up to read about a childish school bully.💀 That's what Carden is.

The setting could have been a random high school honestly, based on how pathetic these characters were.

It's easy to read, but not really my favourite writing style. This might sound harsh, but it reminds me of wadpad. Tbf, i haven't read YA in some time so maybe it's just me not being used to this genre.

For the ending: i like the sentiment, but the execution could've been better.

Idl if this book makes me feel more empathetic or disgust, probably both.
