Aaarrrhhh! I hate this guy! I'm seriously considering not finishing this. I'll struggle on for now but I want to shoot this guy!

He is a narcissistic mentally (and a bit physically) abusive prick. If the author wanted us to connect with this character at all, some of his thoughts would be helpful but there is no excuse really for this behaviour. If he had an issue with something that he believed she was in on then he should have talked about it in the beginning rather than his chosen behaviour.

This bloke is mentally abusive! The story so far makes me feels as if it was set in the nineteen fiftys.

I thought the rings protected the women from other dragons powers? Or was that just the Onyx dragon's ring?

"fax"? In this day and age? Really? Email would be more believable.

I find this hard to continue reading. The urge to bang my head on a wall is strong. It's just the whole tone of the writing and little things like...could their thoughts be in a italics or something rather than being told..."she/he thought"
The main gist of the story is interesting enough but the execution is awful...sorry.

I find the writing somewhat stilted and wooden. The ideas are good but...

I'm starting to really dislike "darlin'". Wish he would quit that. Also this whole "I'll heal you" stuff and being so noble is getting annoying and awkward...not to mention a tad ridiculous.

4) now Leah is just being dense! Why do you want me to wear this cape that totally covers me up? Is it because of the skimpy clothes I'm wearing?...might be because he already told you it's a dangerous place, but you insisted you go with him...he gave in despite his better judgement and now he wants to hide you a bit...well Derr!

2) Grav was supposed to check on both women. He chose to see Leah first, and step in at just the right time but once he had her, why didn't he put her on his ship then go visit Charlotte? 3) I'm pretty sure he left "alien evidence" in Leah's house...the message cubes. That means he may have blown the lid off the "no aliens" belief.

I have a few things going on in the real world at the moment so I have taken days to get to 23%, but I haven't really felt driven to keep reading either. So far I've had a couple of issues with the story. 1) I know the author is probably trying to handle the "abusive partner" sensitively but I'm finding it almost...cliche? Like an article about abusive partners.

Wow, despite how things are done on Earth and what they agreed to, he's an idiot not to think his consorts would still be in his/their home...it's been their home too...apparently for years. He should have sorted that out sooner. He has treated them badly. They have a right to be upset.

Now the story feels rushed...emotions etc

This is reminiscent of Ral's Woman by Laurann Dohner. Mostly the consorts.

This far in and I still don't really know what Styx looks like or why she can tell that he is not entirely human. There looks to also be elements of Stockholm's syndrome starting.

How can she hug her "legs" to her chest when one is in a full leg cast?

I've been thinking how similar this is to the Caveman series by Hazel, and now he's just gone and compared himself to a caveman.

Repeated information. He told her this stuff just a few days ago...the head injury might be worse than they thought.

Before I even start, I've got to say that I don't usually mind a May-December romance but I prefer the age gap to not be where the guy is truly old enough to be her father.

It's frustrating when the author forgets what ages she gave the characters in the first book in the series to the second book. Also, when a character apparently makes sure the bar tender knows to serve him soda from now on but the author continues to give him scotch. Inconsistencies that should have been picked up.

Not positive but pretty sure relief for teachers is pretty similar around the country, union rules, teachers are allowed carers leave, it can't be knocked back by the principle when it is for a close family member. The principle would have no choice in this situation. She could organise the relief or the school can.

"Earth" mentioned twice in one paragraph but I'm assuming the first time is in reference to ground/dirt, so no capital E needed. The second time...it's as if the author forgot that this is supposed to be a different planet.

Marie is going to be the reason I either stop reading this or start skimming pages.

The way they are talking sounds so unnatural. Plus we haven't been told why, after some routine tests, she is told she can't have children. Usually you would only be told that after some pretty intensive testing and tracking. Seems a bit far fetched even for fiction.

I've been trying to keep a track of how long they have been on the planet and by my reckoning it's about 4 maybe 5 days tops. They have only had sex for maybe 3 of those days. Suddenly she's like "I'm late, so yes, pregnant" author doesn't know fertility and conception.
