Gosh I envy people who just” sit down and writes an essay upon whatever has been bothering them. How? How do they do it?

So that was it? This book felt like it could be never ending. In a good sense.

"That one was" the commander says as he points out women. The commander is telling how these "things".... these women use to have professions, he is telling how they use to be able to sustain themselves....

Chapter 36? This book is forever lasting...

This guy finished books within days? How?? It feels odd reading a book and then getting reminded that someone is def! reading more than me. It’s like every other page Charlie writes… “oh and I finished the book Bill gave me. I even read it three times.” ??? Since when? Yesterday?

“And it didn’t last forever. Although for them it may have lasted all the forever they had.” Now stop no more wthhh

"... And then I saw my mother." She writes as she tells about the p'rnography the Handmaids were shown to them as torture and examples of bad behaviour. She proceeds to draw a portrait of her mother in her young days as the most beautiful thing on earth, omitting the reason why her mother is brought up. Oh my this book I cant its so well writteeennn

Nurgh, the way "Charlie" writes so well about his life. He really is a good writer. I aspire to be like him... I think many of his close realtions did, but they prob. never told him. Or maybe they will? I haven't read the whole book yet.

Urgh these poor queer people hiding all their school years scared they will be treated differently :(

Gosh things have been going Down lately I’m sorry! I gained a crush and forgot to dedicating time for reading.
Imma power through!

I’m to be meeting up with a friend tomorrow and this is her copy I have… I should be able to finish it. By tomorrow. My initial thoughts are that this is some kinda of John Green writing purely based on my experience with the movie. I know that I have seen the movie (ages ago) and I have an idea of the overall plot, but I still think it’s gonna have a lot of surprises for me too.

“The freedom to or freedom from” oh my, puts life into perspective forsure.

“Suns Lightning dead solar systems elsewhere in the Galaxy. Everywhere you can see in their sky, or almost everywhere, is lifeless. That must affect them. That must give them the idea above their station. That must send them insane.” I love Matt’s writing.

I love her as an influencer, but gosh this book is starting to get on my nerves. So much that I take other book breaks.

Idk if imma finish this. It would be really cute as a Studio Ghibli, but I’m not so interested in it as a book

It’s a lot of nothingness? I know this is suppose to be Milly’s diary and random thoughts. And though she did reflect upon them and obviously doesn’t have the answers to it all… she doesn’t really give me anything. I know there are loads of quotes added, but it’s style make me question weather they had impacted her or Pinterest just was really good that day.

Honestly I dont think I’ll ever read another book of this author. It’s all very cute. Nicely written and has great character development in a well designed story. Ig just lack uniqueness. Everything is very predictable which doesn’t create any drive for me to continue reading.

“They didn’t disagree or argue back, they just hadn’t really thought about it like that (which wasn’t a supprise to me.”
The writing is nice yet she continues to argue that simple thoughts are revolutionary. Because non of her friends ever thought. Which I fair thought, yet there is no way… being 28..? Idk most of these things seem pretty obvious?

Now I’m starting to get annoyed. “I sit and think about Future Milly a lot, maybe more than the usual person would.” She writes and precedes to point the most obvious things which a person thinking of their future self probably would think. Pointing them out as if they are revolutionary. It’s reminding me of how influencers will eat something really common and act crazy excited about it.

"But she is still the one woman in my life who I truly loved, that will never change. And the memories I have of our time together are all still here in my heart. So in that sense im still in love with her." Awe stop this guy is very cute

Oh! Unexpected wlw!?

As much as this is the first book I reach for, this books and the way it’s written gives me anxious shrugs. My shoulders build up high and my eyes narrow. Milly shares very vulnerable her life, yet with a lot of anxious tension. I guess you could say that she does her job as a writer.?
Although I am glad to read thoughts, which I myself thought to belong in the “I have only thought this” category.

One thing I love about reading is that it offers insights to others thoughts in other places. If it wasn’t for them noting and sharing their experience, we could be left without knowing.

Honestly tho her writing style is very podcasty/voiceovery, I mirror myself in what I believe my writing looks like. (Trying to analyze others writing style in order to better my own.)

This is such a cute book, Im definitely gonna enjoy reading it!
