The more I read, the more my heart breaks for my fave character in Friends😭

I’m picking up this book again after years and chapter 3 left me open mouthed and bewildered like wtf just happened

This is not a book that you can or should finish in one seating. Definitely need to read other books as well

This doesn’t feel like jap lit it’s too upbeat and perky😂i thought it was korean lit for a moment

Currently really enjoying Ha Jin’s work, one of literature that is easy to read and understand

He’s a kid, he articulates his thoughts like a kid but he’s too scary to be one. Boy I’m scared to continue this story i’m not good with thriller or gruesome stories

Reading a whole chapter so detailed on the beginning of a psychopath in a 13-year old scarred me

Chapter 2 resonates with me

Can’t believe I’m picking up a book I would’ve enjoyed only during my highschool years😂ah well maybe I need to feel that bittersweet moment again

I think this is her cleanest and nicest book so far😂

Idk how to feel about the writing because I’ve heard praises about it but it was a bit meh for me so far

I have to say I’m more hooked with this than Morisaki

I’m loving this although so far the plot is pretty cliché but idk what is it that pulls me in. And trust me I’m reading it between patients so to put the book down was hard. But I do get confused sometimes whether it’s happening in the current time or their past because the memories and throwbacks are mixed

Was a bit disappointed at the format considering the hype. I didn’t know it was a compilation of her columns in the paper. She was answering people’s concern on the topics in title.

But I’m learning and understanding more of the issues too in a way. We’ll see how it goes
