DNFing - yet another book 2 in a romantasy series that just isn't ACOMAF. I am constantly chasing that feeling, and nothing EVER compares.

This is about WITCHES.
Who are SISTERS.
And love TEA.
This should be right up my alley, as these are my THINGS. Unfortunately, the people who don't understand the difference between "cozy" and "boring" are the ones marketing this book. And reviews indicate that this sleepy non-plot continues for the remainder of the "story." So DNF at 58 pages.

I randomly remembered the existence of this book the other day so I thought I'd give it a re-read. This is THE childhood book that turned out to be a canon event in my love of horror stories.

I am DNFing. I don't like any of the characters and as a 31 year old it's SO hard to get into teenage academia. Everyone is so immature. Their communication skills suck. Their brains aren't developed. Pass.

I know I'm DNFing 20% in and that seems harsh, but the reviews lead me to believe that the things I'm annoyed by do not improve. I have more intriguing books to read.

I do not care what happens. They're all insufferable or worse, disinteresting. I got all the way up to wedding day and I just genuinely do not care whether these two get married, if/how Piglet addresses her anger, or what else they all eat. Borrrrring.

The writing is far too verbose for me to actually get into the plot. After 150 pages...we've had two conversations. Two.

The characters won't shut up and they're all very sassy but not in an entertaining way. The setup is cute but the execution is so painfully boring and other reviews imply that it doesn't get better. I'm not looking for a deeply philosophical read starring a bunch of antiheros, so I'm stopping her

Did not finish book. Stopped at 69%.

This was INSUFFERABLE. It takes place in 2090 yet all of its characters (19 year old humans and thousand year old gods) use zillennial tiktok slang. The two MMCs' obsession with the FMC makes NO sense, as it's simply PRESENT. There's no explanation or even progression, it's just THERE (because Love Triangle). Any time we could have spent on characterization was instead used for a
