Juvenile dull-drum. Change of cover or title does not qualify as improvement . Saying that Lord of the Rings fans will enjoy this offering is just offensive.

20% in to the book and I am not really feeling love for it. Some things just irritate me: jixie (like pixie?) mentioned co-ed bathing . Are we in the warior's stronghold or in the college dorm?

Agree with Mara - this book is trying to be Romancing the Stone crossed with The Mummy 1 & 2 ( Brandon Frasier, not Tom Cruize), but missing the all counts - shame, Anna Hackett is usually better than that.

Only 1% in and I am totally pissed off - it is triple spaced to the max. One full page have 7 LINES OF WRITING ! The 487 page count ? Is this going to be a farce ?

" Grippet the meat of her thighs" ??? A rather unfortunate choise of words, makes me want to ask " White meat or dark meat" More apt when discussing dinner, not in a romantic interlude.

What can I say - I needed some fluff

This will be hard to rate so I have to delay review until I can come up with something cohesive, but it was definitely NOT a 5* or 4* read and the main reason is because H was, known as and constantly adressed as " Rapist "

So far so good. Favorite - "Claiming her Prize by Ellis Leigh. Least favorite - Her Dragon's Heart. It is not bad, but I find Ms Mills "Happy-happy-joy-joy-awesome" writing style too syrupy and WAY too annoyingly perky.

It appears from many “romantic” books lately that there is a “wet” or “dripping” panties epidemic. In majority of cases the cause is not urinary track infection or an overwhelming, blinding lust, but an anatomical abnormality with brains leaking out through the vagina. 40% in. Oops, spoke too soon. Like the mythology and the story line, but the first person present time narration is proving to be a challenging read, it just does not flow. Might leave this one for now and move to the next story.

I must be on a re-bound. There are obvious parallels to other well known series (the blurb said it all), Mikhail is being an ass and still have to prove his allure to me, I am not fond of Clare’s character (a husler and a pick-pocket?),there is waaaay too much internal musing but despite all that I am reeld-in.

There is fast and there is ludicrous. Also having problem with writing style - short, abrupt sentences, no feel of the flow. Last thing : if h is so smart why is she wearing mismatched shoes and she knows that?

What a treasure-trove this book is turning out to be! 5 stories so far, and not a single one below 4*. These are not paranormal romance dragons, they are Ursula LeGuin and Anne MacCaffrey dragons and I am gobbling it up .

Is this a first book? Small prologue, no background or character information (who the hell is Cage and Seren?) Daniel is a stubborn, moronic dick – if he is the King of dragons, then it is time for a revolution, and what is with him manhandling Shelby? Woman almost died, and 10 minutes later he is throwing her over his shoulder or tossing her onto the mattress. And the height difference?? Really??

This is an easy read, with sufficient but not too much of historical background – not for serious history buffs. The characters are pleasant and easy to like and while I realise that this is a romance, it is all that insta-lust means insta-love that I find too far -fetched. Erection does not equal life-long commitment.

I am really liking this one - smart, with a good plot, not your typical space abduction hump-fest. Love Sazo - he is part HAL (the saner part), part Data with a dash of pet Rottweiler.

Favourites: Dragon's Dream Dancer; Exiled; Scent of Scandal; Desert Wolf2. Least liked: The wolf in the Neighbourhood - soooo longwinded, that I was skipping all over the place and did not miss a thing.. The rest were good, not great but good. Sill have Captive Moonlight to go. So far, 3.5*

Ok, 56% in to the series and I am bored. It started with an interesting premise, but now it is like dragging yourself through the molasses. Nothing happens-so let’s put in a boring sex-scene, and another, and another. Yawn!!!

Ok, an issue for me with the progress of this series is a fact that our kick-ass, strong woman became a trophy-wife and turned into a puddle of the overprotected, smothered, oversexed mush, with all of her brains and chutzpah dissipating. Come on luv, snap out of the sex-induced haze, it is time to put big girl panties back on!! I want a girl with a back-bone back, not the one who will do anything for a penis

I am really liking this one - tense, gritty and very involving

1. Ryder is an ass of monumental proportions.
2. After hunt sequent - pages and pages of sex and talk like a dialogue from porn movie . Got so tedious, kept skipping them.
3. Constant F-bombs. Remove them and the book will be 15% shorter. 5 in 7-line paragraph? Much easier to drop a profanity to heighten emotional impact. Try to do it without sounding like a gutter-mouth.
