I cannot believe that the author is narrating this as she seems completely removed and distant from the content as if she’s just reading any words for a paycheck. Phoning it in.
I don’t hear any excitement or detect interest or knowledge just someone sing song reading off of a page. Some of the info is interesting. Maybe go with the print version. Still dry but you lose the disinterested voice

I'm going to buy this one. It is excellent!

This is really flat at the beginning. I started this a couple of books ago and was going to pick it up again and I find myself dreading it, although I want the information inside. I'm hoping to pick it up after Monsters and maybe the tone will change or I will find something curious and interesting to pull me in before I have to return it!

Oooo Caroline Bricks starts off with the wondrous curiosity of a child. I love it so much!

So just the 3 audio edits. The book itself was such a fun visit with old friends.

And another edit a bit ago. I wasn’t able to note the approximate time stamp. Just a few words. It’s annoying as it immediately distracts me and removes me from the story. I’m hopeful that it was only the first 30%with issues. It’s usual for a Mayberry audiobook to have such sloppy editing.

At 2:25 there’s a few descriptors dropped in. A definition of what ledger is speaking of. It’s a tad louder and faster paced than those around them. Nothing overly loud or fast but very obvious edit
