This book starts off extremely strong, starts to dance with weirdness and then goes full on ultra Absurdism, Outsider, Oddity art mix that is well, as it seems, absurd, odd and seemingly created by an artist who does not live among us. I'm at 50% so there's a lot left to go.

This is an excellent debut novel. One of the ones nominated in this years choice awards. I am about halfway through and recommend so far.

I'm curious if any of these recipes are in the print and kindle editions. That would be pretty sweet. From scratch biscuits with butter sound pretty delicious, as does ccwm

I don’t know if I can put this down!
It’s so freaking good. Plus there’s a nod to the Outlander series, a thumbs up for that alone.
Like the first novel I read by ison, it jumps right in. Fast paced. Characters are engaging, interesting and full of personality.

The first chapter has a bit of annoyance noise, perhaps a fan, that has a rhythmic static type sound that clears up in chapter two but returns in chapter 4 but much less noticeable, almost invisible
