This is an older audiobook, and either in it's original formatting or in the upgrading of the audio there is now a significant pause between chapters. There is no scoring. It feels a bit odd to have such a pause at the end of every single chapter, but other than that the audio thus far is flawless.
I have to wonder if there was an odd scoring at the chapters end that was removed, leaving us with a pause.

one word was edited in, sped up to 'sneak' between two words. it sounded absurd.

I love the synopsis at the end of how King came up with each story in the book, in his own words and voice. Excellent.

My pretty pony has 3 obvious edits. The edits do not affect my ability to hear or understand the narration, they are just obvious. This is an old audiobook that was upgraded and updated, making the audio mostly at todays standards with the exceptions of those I have noted thus far.
Kathy Bates narration of Chattery Teeth is excellent.

third story is super creative and a 4 star read.
While this is a re-read, I read it so long ago that many of these stories are now like new!
Still laughing about the 2nd story though. The unintentional humor with the narration mishap lol.

The first story is 5 stars all around, read by Whoopi
Rainy Season's narration is a bit off. It's sped up or transferred incorrectly as it's old and I have been laughing through the entire thing, which is so wrong. hahaha. Either that or the narrator is actual Alvin, Simon, and Theodore. hahaha
Donan's Cadillac narration is back to normal sound

What a great forward written and narrated by king. He does believe in spooks! So much good.

First story expertly narrated by Whoopi Goldberg

While the author clearly has things to say, he seems to feel that he alone has this knowledge and that everything that comes out of his mouth is gold. I'm not sure why I am still reading, outside of the fact that I know that I don't know everything and I thought this would be different. Much of this is logical information. I seriously don't understand the high praise. I am over halfway through.
