the characters have been thrust at us but without any real breadth. Carter has yet to actually make a connection with his daughter and it seems like the nanny is the only one actually connecting with her. I’m also not liking the time jumps without being talked through them, eg - the baby calls him dada all of a sudden but we don’t even see them interact

They finally started the relationship; a bit too little too late

First kiss (first sign of any romance between the main characters)

65% in and still every time they almost give in to temptation and finally kiss.. a door slams or a car horn blares and interrupts them; it’s getting infuriating now

Quite slow going, a lot of time jumps and still no relationship or steam

60% in and they’re still not a couple! 🥲😩

So you’re telling me the same man that gets Possesive when one of his brothers spends time with the FMC is also the same guy who will let her go topless bull riding at a bar in front of a whole crowd after they start dating?!

He’s emotionally submissive to her and lets her use him. No smex scenes until halfway through

Not really my cup of tea. KA Knights last few releases haven’t really done it for me and DOV will always be the standard

Started it at 12:30 and I’m almost halfway through already at 3:30pm

I’m about 80% in to this book and I’m really enjoying it, however I wish things weren’t left so late in the book (e.g - first sex scene is about 70% in and even now with only 20% left, the brother still hasn’t found out)

Loving it!

So far I’m not liking the way this is written at all. The FMC is such a walkover and not very likeable and the way the H always shouts his dialogue is very unappealing

The FMC was so worried about her brother figuring out that she was living in the same building, on the floor above him, and that there were things that would be dead giveaway (e.g her car in the parking lot, the fact they only live one floor apart / same lift, etc) yet she never followed up on that.

Are we meant to assume he still hasn’t noticed her car in the buildings parking lot??

There’s too much internal monologue and thoughts going on between active spoken dialog/ sentences

Only 3 chapters in and there’s already a few things I’m not liking.

1. Magnolia blatantly cheated on her bf with Tripp when she kissed him at the bar - in front of the bf! Who did nothing to stop it!!

2. Nobody seems that concerned that Travis drugged her drink

I’m starting to get really annoyed at Cassie and the way she’s treating her friendship with Thea

It’s a fast burn in that the characters relationships move quickly but slow burn in the way that I’m over halfway through the second book and the FMC is still pregnant and hasn’t given birth - even though she’s been heavily pregnant since the start of the story

First steamy scene - 66% in

They are still yet to actually get together - 60% in.

They way Bree is portrayed in this story almost makes her out to be autistic or something of the sort; “she can’t feel her emotions”, “will she learn to love”, etc

I’m really enjoying this book overall, however there are a few things I’m not a fan of.

When Ash’s baby is dropped of with the note from the mother - that clearly states she’s unable to love and look after her baby with signs of postpartum depression (she says she “shouldn’t want to drown her own baby”) yet they speak so badly of her as if she’s an evil person and not just a new mother struggling

Although I’m enjoying this book in an easy and fun way to read, I don’t like the way it skips time between chapters.

E.g chapter 18- they’re doing family christmas and the FMC mentions a gift she got for the H and how he’s going to love it, but doesn’t tell us what it is. Then the chapter ends and on we go to chapter 19, which then jumps to him on a 6 week road trip and we never find out about the gift!

I don’t want this book to end! Can’t wait for the rest of the books in the series to release this year 🖤🔥

I’m loving this book and not wanting to put it down but at the same time I don’t want it to end and I’m already halfway through! 😅

I sped through the first 1/3 of this book and was really enjoying the storyline but now it’s becoming a bit repetitive and drawn out

Over halfway in and I can’t say I particularly like the FMC - she’s clueless, repetitive and whiny.
