Nearly positive Erisi Dlarit is the spy simply because Corran Horn has turned down her sexual advances twice. He's not a Jedi yet but their volcel teachings have clearly deeply effected him

They're definitely gonna age Alia up in Villenueve's adaptation, right? Chalamet and Taylor-Joy are the same age playing siblings with a sizable gap, not to mention Hayt's strange courtship. Wasn't sure about Villeneuve casting Momoa as Duncan Idaho years ago and playing him as another bland action-man but now that I know Hayt is the kind of guy to ogle and kiss a 15 year old girl I kinda get the choice.

I remembered how to read

It's pretty startling how much King ripped this off for Black House but this is decidedly way better

i remembered how to read

This has been fun to read in tandem with Fairy Tale, you can see where King's mind has drifted to rest in Mother Goose Land the last decade or so.

So, my audiobook rental of Fairy Tale ran up before I could finish because of the holidays, and even though I was lent a physical copy to finish up real quick-like, my hold on this came in even though I saw I had a 4 week wait time. I guess a few people must have passed up on theirs but that's their loss, even though it's King reading and not Muller (RIP king. king, not King. Confusing.)

I only made it this far in the one week I had it rented because stupid ass Christmas got in the way so I have to wait until I can borrow Rebecca's copy to finish this, right when it was getting good again too

this got real Percy Jackson real quick

The Talisman but if Jack had an ipad and daddy issues instead of mommy issues

I was hoping I'd be farther along in my TDT reread before my loan for Fairy Tale came up but it's looking like that'll be next after this or WTTK. Good thing too, because I'm gonna need some recovery time after this. Frank Muller is such an incredible narrator for this audiobook and I can't wait to finish it so he can grind my heart to dust

I picked the wrong fuckin week to read this book

I'm okay

Can't wait to break my own heart all over again

with each passing page i begin to understand how deep and wide Eddie Dean's influence was to my adolescent brain

My grannie gave me a copy of this once and I never read it, and in hindsight this probably would have lurched me into King-esque horror way sooner. I'm usually a bit squeamish about infidelity/death of a partner (for instance, I put down American Gods after about 20 pages of the intro and haven't picked it back up yet... a decade later) so this has been a struggle for my heart but so far, so good.

Totally unrealistic, a scoutmaster who is NOT a sanctimonious and bigoted asshole, how dare this book display such a fantastical creature
