Really enjoying this engaging English literature study guide. Robert Douglas‑Fairhurst has a way of making literary styles/methods come to life. The latest chapter explored ambiguity and introduced us to the Cambridge poet and scholar A. E. Housman. One line from one of his poems on unrequited love really struck me:
“I shook his hand and tore my heart in sunder, | And went with half my life about my ways”
