i didn't expect this to be a dystopian thriller, i didn't even know that combination was possible. i know dystopian novels with "thriller" elements exist, but not a thriller thriller dystopian novel.

anyway, i was kind of hesitant to continue reading this book because apparently we're living in our own dystopia which is horrifying enough as it is, but yolo

so elias, laia, and helene have all seen death in their dreams, hallucinations, whatever, and i'm meant to believe that this book is going to end well?? im so convinced elias is definitely going to die and my heart already hurts. ALSO, i feel like elias doesn't like like laia, even though he's clearly into her when we read his pov but still ughh can we get something other than this push-pull dynamic
