Yeah my new year mission was to officially migrate over to StoryGraph after constantly being barraged by so many people online and offline. Especially because that’s what a lot of other ppl use, instead of GR. I could barely import my GR data or update my Current Read without the app crashing on me.. I honestly don’t understand the app, but GRBOIIII4LYF!!

It’s so funny that on page 369, the ‘weed’ they use to smoke and after being stolen and destroyed by the Ruffians, Sam used his gift from Galadriel of a box of soil dust to replant many trees and plants. He used some for it and by the year 1420 it was the best weed that they had ever smoked that hobbits often referred to that time period 😅😂

Frodo is such a little wimp. Leaving all the heavy work to the other hobbits, it seems all he’s good for is fainting and complaining 😮‍💨

Just finished Sunrise on the Reaping and I am officially deceased. What a fkn book. Haymitch was, will and is my favourite character FULL STOP. Just like that last sentence, I love this book like all-fire 🔥🏹

Bruh Tolkien was so clever!! Westernesse (Inverness), West Kingdom (UK), Cool to see You-Know-Who’s inspo from him like, Longbottom (Neville), Butterbur (butterbeer). His Pipe-Weed names were so funny! Sweet Galena (Gardenia), Old Toby (after the guy who “discovered” it) etc. I can see now why ppl have such a fascination with LOTR. It quite really is its own culture! But fuck learning Elvish 😂

I love how warm and witty it is!

Reading The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes; I can’t believe that a mentor ACTUALLY WENT into the games! Side Note: the start of the book had me feeling sympathetic towards Snow, but slowly he becomes more and more conniving and evil.. I can’t help but feel how Collins really plays on our rollercoaster of emotions in the most profound ways. I love that.

The Passenger by Cormac McCarthy - ⛔️
Let’s start with a disclaimer: yes, my ex-wife gave me this book as a ‘consolation prize’ after returning from yet another holiday without me👨🏽‍🦽. But no, that’s not the reason I DNF’d this. At least… not fully.

I’m so close to finishing but with the time currently at 2am on the dot and with yesterday night’s late night escapades of reading til 4 fkn AM; my eyes can’t cope with anymore. All I can say rn before I pass out mid typing, is that the book is WAYYYY BETTER THAN THE MOVIE. 💯

Pro tip: don’t stay up til 4AM reading The Hunger Games on your kindle that makes it SO much easier to read in the dark and lose track of all time and any concept of it 👍🏽

This is a long overdue reread from when I first read it back in 2010, 2 years after its release and not that much hype and wishing for a movie adaptation! I completely forgot just how much I loveeeeee this book and the regret is real for not continuing the series 🤧 but I’m not making that mistake twice!

The narrator was so depressing and unenthusiastic it kinda killed the book for me. If I’m gonna be using Spotify for my audiobooks, I hope the narrators get better haha. I definitely need the physical copies of BOTH fire books 🔥

Raaaah rounding off Ramadan by finishing the most incredible Islamic works feels godly. I’m seriously wrapped up in the essence of His love and I hope to carry this warmth for the rest of my life. Alhamdulilah 🤲🏽

Paused in time for Ramadan, will definitely be picking it up as soon as it’s over as it was getting so good!!

My personal review or endorsement for the cover of the book Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse would be: “mind-bending, spell-casting and philosophically life changing!” - Emon Miah, Brownfont.

Reading til my eyes go paper dry rn…

After reading a poorly written book, it’s nice to go back to some familiarity 😂 even though the author is cancelled, I’ll forever love the only good thing that came out of her existence; the world she created and that’s it 👊🏽

These few chapters since the last feels like home. Warm, comforting, lighthearted, humorous and sweet. I want to live in these past few chapters!

Everything in a romance book that you’ll need! Granted, some cringe and expected stuff so far. But Henry does it in her own unique style!
