Liking this book a lot so far! It's very readable. I had no idea her aunt is the author of The Gossamer Years, which I'm also planning to read this year.

Do you want 90s nostalgia? Do you want Phantom of the Opera vibes? Do you want a creepy read for Halloween? Read this book. Gosh her books are the best in this little niche genre. Haven't met a RTC book that I didn't enjoy, and this reread is reminding me of why this one was a favorite.

The writing is beautiful, the depiction of grief insightful.

I am really into this now and am tempted to try to stay up really late and finish it! But I'll try to be responsible...
