I've had to stop reading...
When eveything is going really well at the 50% mark you know its time for a catastrophe.
This catastrophe, unfortunately, is very obvious and I don't want to read it. You do not need trauma this intense in a sports romance book. Pick a genre or lighten the load.

Really enjoying the premise but its hard to listen to audiobooks and concentrate so I've had to put it off.
Such a unique and interesting premise.

Lisina Coney can sure write a MMC

Definitely not my kind of book. I’m not a fan of heavily narrative or overly descriptive styles, so the writing just didn’t suit me at all. I also couldn’t believe that for about half the book, the monster is barely even mentioned! I know it’s a classic and has a lot of literary significance, but personally, I just couldn’t get into it.
Will probably skim the rest.

Reading for book club...
Currently not my cup of tea. Not much happening, he's very chill about having lost a monster...
