Also, it's jarring how the language goes from romantic to stupid little annoying ignorant Noboru and then back to romantic. UGHHHHH can someone shut this little shit up.

This book is honestly... I don't know what to think. What is even the message here?

this is a good adaptation of the book. it shows frankensteins monster as actually creepy and terrifying. it finally highlighted to me the horror of creating something that destroys everything you love slowly to deliberately mentally torture you and threatens with mass destruction, and everything is all your fault, your neglect and going too far. i felt like that point got lost on me in the book

The whole narrative of this book would fall apart if Viktors monster was beautiful. Viktor wouldn't have been fearful of it, the monster would've found a place among humans and received the love he gave, and everyone wouldve been happy. I also don't understand why Viktor didnt just get himself a gun, just wallowing in self pity for no damn reason. I understand the cultural and social impact of this book though.

This book has a nice enemies to lovers couple, but I personally don't like how quickly the romance started, I would've really loved if it was slower, maybe more confusion and hesitation on the part of Jude. Because she seems to just not be affected n recall all the harrassment and assault that Carden did and allowed to happen. I would've liked it if she came to know him better and then maybe forgive him after a while

i’ve noticed many cuts in action, i don’t know what to call it. many times i notice that a character sitting or standing is not mentioned and i feel like the author played it in their head but maybe rushed to write it and forgot? maybe it’s purposeful i don’t know

it’s fun, a little childish behavior for what i believe are 17 year old kids, but it’s fun.

p. 72, so far the pacing is a little fast, i would've liked it to be more in depth on some parts.
