Imo the 'Caliphate' needs an 'Islamic democracy'. Islam offers moral guidance but no formal bureaucratic institutions, making fragmentation and corruption structural challenges. Proper Islamic ethos can foster unity, yet the institutional gap has persisted. Why this was never fully addressed by Prophet Muhammad or the Salaf remains elusive. I cannot take literally, “On this day We have perfected your religion.”
