This was a light hearted HR but I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have. It tried to be funny but was more on the silly side. I didn't like the duke and couldn't figure out what Penelope saw in him. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3.

Witch and pirate danced through like shadows in the lamplight, portending night, leaving everyone blinking and enchanted.

Things are coming to a head with Fortune's secret identity and Carter. Fortune goes back into CIA action. Gertie is hilarious. There's a pretty good mystery and a hurricane. It's all done wonderfully.

I'm enjoying this series. This book covers most of the same ground from the last book but from a different point of view. One thing I hate is the cover. This has to be one of the ugliest romantic covers I've ever seen. The angle of the back with the green color makes the girl look like an alien.

Another edge-of-your-seat exciting story in this series. This is one is about escaping a trap. It's very tense until the end when it turns funny. Loved. it.

Shana Abe is one of my favorite writers and she's not letting me down here. This book is so good. England and France in the 1700s with dragon shifters is a potent combination.

I'm really enjoying this. Still in the world building stage but I can tell it's going to be good. And...DING, DING, DING....we have leprechauns!!!! I'm absolutely delighted when I find a good story with leprechauns. There aren't many out there.

This was a cute and quick read. The story takes place in a castle in the Austrian Alps. Erich is trying to clear the name of his ancestor who was hanged for witchcraft. Julianne is visiting her grandmother who claims that the castle is haunted. There are a number of surprises, some lederhosen, and a Krampus involved.

This was a nice slow burn romance. I loved when Damaris told the parents what for. That scene was great. It did take a little too long for secrets to be revealed and there wasn't as much action as the first book. Still, it was a good read.

Is anyone else having trouble with the "Look Inside" feature on Amazon not working today?

Not feeling this book. Struggling to get through it.

Curses! I left the two books I had planned for my trip at home. How did they not make it into my suitcase?

Been devouring this book all morning. Am really getting into Charles and Anna as a couple. They work so well together. The bond between the deceased couple lovers was very touching too. I am really wondering what is going on and I'm ready for Charles to take a big bite out of whoever the villain turns out to be. Bran is obviously off doing something super sneaky too.

"Here's a little secret, woman to woman." I lean closer, making sure I have her undivided attention. "It's the small things that make a difference. A good mani/pedi, maybe sprucing up your hair a bit? The boys are going to notice."
The lady in question shoots me a dubious look but says nothing.
That's probably because I'm the last person that should give dating advice.
Also, because she's a reindeer.

Reading Witching Moon for my Halloween book this year. It's off to a good start with a werewolf and a witches' coven. I was feeling the urge to read something with some grittier suspense.

I had planned to start Witching Moon but I can't find it. Supposedly I have the paperback. But where? Will look for another copy.
